Unlike Maren I did not make my kids clean up Christmas yet. I did not clean it up either. Now my house is like Little Shop of Horrors. I am about to go tackle it.
But first, a warning: For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.
Some of you may know this as Newton’s Third Law of Motion. But trust me, it is a warning that I should have heeded.
Remember how blissfully happy I was after rearranging the bedrooms and getting Tiny Baby to sleep? Oh yes, it was been wonderful. (a recap for those of you who may have missed it: I moved her to the crib by herself and moved Miss 2 and Miss 8 to a downstairs bedroom.) Since then, Miss 2 has been sleeping in the porta-crib, happily sharing with Miss 8.
So, the first action was me changing the bedrooms around and getting Tiny to sleep. Are you with me?
Now, the equal and opposite reaction: Miss 2 has been taught by Miss 8 to OPEN DOOR KNOBS and CLIMB OUT OF THE PORTA-CRIB.
Needless to say, I have already put her back down for nap time so many times I’ve lost count and I fear she may NEVER NAP AGAIN!!! *shudder*
Put one baby to sleep and the other one learns not to sleep! ARGH! I have no idea how bedtime is going to go tonight. . . . .
