A nephew update: The heart catheter is in and working, but baby is still having trouble breathing. The doctors seem undecided about what needs to be done. I am praying for baby to hold on and doctors to have some inspiration!
In the meantime, my fabulous, fun and cute little sis-in-law was also admitted to the hospital for appendicitis! Thankfully, she is doing well. My girls are busy this morning making get well cards for their aunt/babysitter/friend/storyteller/idol.
I admit I had a teeny tiny -if teeny tiny means my head is going to pop-moment of stress when I got the call about little sis-in-law and I was already worrying over baby nephew. (Not to mention that at that exact moment I also realized I had forgotten to drive Miss 9 to the swim party she’s been counting on. Luckily, after flinging everyone into the van, she still made it!) But really, I must realize, my concern and anxiousness is nothing compared to what my brother and his wife are going through this week.
On a lighter note, I found something else that makes me feel really cheery. There are always little things if you look for them, aren’t there? Well, for the past month, since Fat Happy Baby has been crawling around, we have had a gate at the top of the stairs. This means that for the last month, poor Miss 5 has been standing by the gate yelling for someone to open it, so she can go up and down.
This morning she opened the gate herself.
Enough said.
