Ok, people! Let’s move! The Christmas season is upon us and we need to start this crazy train a-rollin’.
…oh don’t play dumb with me…you know very well what I’m talking about. We’ve got cookies to bake, ornaments to hang and defend, candy to concoct, trees to trim, cards to sign, guests to accomodate, gifts to find/buy/wrap, treats to consume, music to listen to, and service to perform.
And don’t make me bring out the work parties, band/orchestra concerts, choirs, school functions, cookie exchanges, pie parties, church dinners, neighborhood socials, parade of lights, parade of trees, and midnight runs for eggnog….or is that just me…..?
We’ve got to remember to fill stockings, buy wrapping paper, get stamps, and send gifts to the people we don’t live by.
Don’t forget the teacher gifts, boss gifts, co-worker gifts, employee gifts, piano teacher, special friend, grandma, and the gift you give your husband when the kids aren’t looking:)
Over here, we will add gingerbread houses, ornament making, caroling, Christmas Story watching, and daycare kid gifts.
I also like to try some new candy or cookie…don’t tell anyone, but I had a friend (Thx, J!) smuggle me in some coffee dust? powder? what is that stuff called? After beans, but before liquid? Anyway, there’s this recipe for Peanut Butter Mocha Checkerboard cookies I’m dying to try.
I also saw a recipe and directions for a 3D gingerbread tree decorated with the theme of The 12 Days of Christmas…..too much?:)
