. . . . . Well, actually we bought a zoo membership. And since yesterday was a holiday, we decided to put it to use for the first time this year. It was wonderful. It was practically like owning our own zoo! No one was there but us, the animals, and the zoo keepers.
That’s because it was snowing a teeny tiny bit, but we didn’t mind. 🙂
The girls were entertained all day. Long after we got home, there were animal sounds emanating from their bedrooms. At dinner it was exactly like we had bought a zoo. Around the table we had a Spider Monkey, a Penguin, a Great Horned Owl, a Komodo Dragon, and a Rhea. That’s not even counting Miss 2. All by herself, she was a Tiger, a Zebra, a Pika, and a “humongous” Tortoise.
And it’s still going on. This morning I woke up to Miss 2 crouching outside my bedroom door. (possibly licking the wall, but I’m not sure.) When I asked her what she was up to, she roared and informed me that she was a Lion.
Someday, we might actually see We Bought a Zoo. It won’t be hard to talk My Dear Husband into it~ he likes Matt Damon.
and so do I, for obvious reasons 😉
In the meantime, I see fun, animal-filled times ahead for us.
That explains the whole monkey thing today at preschool… 🙂
oh dear! you had a monkey thing on top of the scissor things?? what a day you had over there! I really need to plan something amazing for next week I guess.
