. . . okay so we only went a mile but that is huge for Miss 3! And she went both ways- a mile in and a mile out. She walked the whole way, without any whining, complaining, or asking to be held. Miss 9 proved herself to be an absolutely amazing backpacker (I think she is taking after father-in-law for sure.) Miss 7 and Miss 5 also proved themselves to be very respectable hikers.
I was an absolute grouch the whole time, but that is beside the point because the girls and My Dear Husband were in heaven. Not to mention that Fat Happy Baby slept perfectly in her Peapod bed, just like I hoped she would.
