Today is the Big Day. Lynn is off to Globals with her DI-ers and I am going with her.
Oh yes, this is the first time in many, many years that I am leaving the house. . . . alone.
No diapers and wipes are in my purse. I am not taking blankets or binkies. I did not pack any My Little Pony’s, Pet Shops, or Polly Pockets.
In fact, I cleaned them out of my purse.
I packed necklaces because no baby will be there to rip them off my neck. There will be no carseat in my car and no vomit on my shoulders.
I will wrestle no one.
I will sleep in until I wake up all by myself at least once.
I do have my anxieties. My Dear Husband has taken the week off to manage our little crew. Unfortunately for him, Miss 3 has decided that when Daddy is home, she can take her dirty diaper off and throw it away all by herself….. (she did this on Saturday when I left to get a haircut and Daddy was less than pleased. Yes, I know she needs to be potty trained, but that is a conversation for another day. Not today, the Big Day).
I have to admit that although he has my sympathies, I will not mind missing out on this event if she decides to do it again. . . . .
I will be on vacation!
