My girls were sick over Christmas, and a couple of them are sick again this week. ugh.
I have been fantasizing about things like *home doctor visits* or *one stop doctor shops* (a place that has never existed outside of my brain, but would run all my kids through the doctor’s office, day or night, on a conveyor belt, checking and diagnosing and medicating any possible problems, all in under 20 minutes at the low cost of 10 bucks a kid.)
Unfortunately for us, home doctor visits are a thing of the past, and one stop shops will never exist, so Miss 9 is missing school. Missing school, and missing the field trip to the Philharmonic Concert she has been looking forward to.
I spent the morning comforting and wiping tears.

After she cried for awhile, I knew we couldn’t get through the day like this. I needed help. I did a quick search for a concert by Our Philharmonic and lo and behold! a children’s concert came up. Just what we were in need of! I pressed play, and handed over my tablet for her to watch. Her tears turned to smiles.
It’s obviously not the same as riding the bus, and sitting in the auditorium with all of her friends, but it was enough to cheer her up. (she’s a real trooper, she is!)
So, I have to say, Thanks Youtube! You really came through for me today. 🙂
