Resistance is Futile!

I want to post, if I can, before the baby wakes up.  But I admit it is proving difficult.

Miss 6 and Miss 8 are out the door for school, but they have left wreckage behind them.  Cereal bowls are scattered, milk is spilled, and beds are unmade.

I should have posted before Miss 2 woke up.  Miss 2 is standing by me, actually she is clutching on to my arm.  And my leg.  She is screaming and she has no underwear on. She will not put them on but she has already used her potty chair three times.  She has only been awake for 10 minutes and this is her third tantrum.  She is starving but she refuses to eat breakfast.  She will not put her underwear back on.  There are boogers pouring from her nose and tears pouring from her eyes.  She has thrown her glasses off and they have already disappeared somewhere.

My motherly instinct says “do something!”  My “me” instinct says “RUN AWAY FROM HERE!”

Miss 4 is hollering at Miss 2 because she wanted to flush her potty when there was no actual pee in it.  Apparently, over night, she has become a tiny little water conservationist.

This is survival mode over here!  I can see an escape route, but I have used it too often and must resist.

I know all these troubles would evaporate if I would just turn on PBS one more time, but I know my girls’ brains will also evaporate.  I must hold on a little longer. . . . must resist. . . . . . ahhhhhhhh!!

Cave in. Some mornings you just need to chill. Now time for me to write two articles.
