I just spent the morning painting my nails.
I have to tell you that scotch tape is the answer for homemade DIY french manicures. Don’t waste any more money on little white stickers that aren’t the right shape and don’t stick enough to to keep your white tips nice and straight. Just grab the scotch tape.
Now back to the story of the nails. The sad part of this story is that I don’t have any cute little pictures to show. I can’t share with you a nice tutorial on scotch tape. I don’t even have painted nails at all!
My naked nails are Miss 2’s fault. Monday morning she told me she needed underwear. I felt the horror only a seasoned veteran of potty-training can feel and promised myself I would resist her until she’s 3. But I did make a small allowance for her needs. I put her in a pull-up. Then this morning she was so cute sitting on the potty and trying away, that I lost all sense of sanity and put her in a pair of underwear. I know, dangerous, right?
The very minute I sat down to let my lovely scotch tape french manicure dry, I heard the sweet voice of little Miss 2 telling me she was poopy. In her underwear.
It was some kind of a mess, let me tell you.
No more fancy nails.
But I have an idea to cheer myself up. I am going to potty train the heck out of this little girl and when she’s done and there are no more diapers in my house, I am going to go to a professional who doesn’t even need to use scotch tape, and I am going to have the nicest french manicured nails you’ve ever seen! So there, potty training!
