Porch Swing Project

A long time ago, in a little town a few hours down the road, our very generous neighbors gave us a cute little child sized patio swing.

(I just spent the last half hour searching my computer for a picture of the little swing but alas! this is the best one I could find.  Can you even see that tiny little swing in the background behind the table and all the kids??)

The little girls have spent countless hours reading, relaxing, and well just swinging on this cute little swing.

Now the fabric seat is totally worn out, from all that loving attention, so I am in the middle of fixing it.

I have removed the seat and cut it apart to make a new pattern.

I have used science, voodoo, prayer, friendly advice, and Youtube to get my sewing machine working.

I have visited the fabric store four times.

I am almost finished.  I just put Fat Happy Baby to bed and I’m going to go back to it now.

When I am done, I will try to remember to take a good picture for all to see my handiwork.
