So, here we are!
**Third Anniversary!**
Let me tell you how it started. It started with:
A Blog.
But not my blog. And not the blog of anyone I know. In fact, I had never blogged, read any blog, or heard of anyone with a blog. But, I did hear about this one blog, which shall remain nameless, as I don’t want you going there, and then I read it. What I heard was:
*It’s SO funny!
*She should be rich!
*She’s so great!
What I read on the blog was ok…but not so fabulous that I was impressed by more than the sheer fact that she was writing on the Internet, people were reading it AND talking about it. And I got to thinking:
I could do that.
I do that better.
(I’m like that a lot.) I googled ‘how to blog’ and read some stuff, then I marched my internet fanny over to Blogger and signed up. Imagine my dismay when nothing happened:) I hadn’t told anyone I was going to blog…except Carrie and Lynn, and somehow, no one knew it:) I didn’t even remember to tell my mom, she found it accidently…sad.
Over the past three years, however, we have done ok. We learned about facebook and Twitter, Stumbling, Digging, Scribling. We learned how the internet actually works and our heads didn’t explode. We found out there are a LOT of great blogs out there:)
People I know and don’t know have read our stuff (after we told them we HAD stuff). We’ve certainly had some entertaining moments…(can you say ‘Barry Manilow’?) and have laughed our heads off at some of the posts, and comments. I love how my friends and family have helped by reading, commenting, and promoting for us:)
I love that my sisters are here with me. They were both on board from the beginning, and I love how they always jump on my boat…even if I’m not always sure where we’re going:)
Anyway, we want to give something away, to say, hey! we know we’re awesome and we want to reward you for thinking so too!
