This past weekend was spent in familial bliss.
All 6 of us (my siblings and I) were together. Lynn made the weekend with her fabulous-o surprise appearance. She flew in unannounced and appeared at the door, accompanied by my older brother, who was grinning from ear to ear. My little bro was so flabbergasted to see her he actually yelled out, “holy crap!”
Doesn’t get better than that, does it?
We met to welcome Alex home from his mission. I love filling Maren’s house to overflowing with children, spouses, food, and laughter. I love showing up at church early to save rows and rows of pews so we can all be next to each other. I love being surprised every time I see how we all really look, compared to the children we are in my mind’s eye.
When I was little I remember praying so hard over my brothers and sisters– hoping and pleading with Heavenly Father that all of us would be watched over and protected by Him. I love seeing us together and knowing that He answered my prayers back then, and he continues to answer them now.
Simply put, I love my brothers and sisters!!
