As I have mentioned before, we are doing home improvements.
No, this isn’t Maren talking about her garage/shed project, this is me, Carrie, talking about our new roof and new paint job. We’re still working on gutters- cross fingers for getting our sled/homemade flood control system out of the front yard later this week….
Anyway, I think we managed to get the orangeyness out of our house. (and how’d you like that word, orangeyness, haha!)
Here’s the before picture:
Now for the Miss 2 story. Of course there’s got to be a Miss 2 story, right? So, the painter power washed before painting and it looks really great. I was standing in the backyard, enjoying the new paint job and noticing how clean the patio area looks. . . . . when I noticed this:
Oh Carrie, I love the new colors (so much better than orangey-ness LOL).
Your Miss 2 would love to hang out my granddaughter Miss 2 and grandson Mr. 3. At the Sunday family dinner a week ago, I go downstairs to the TV room where the adults were hanging out to tell them time for cake for Miss 16. As the adults, including the parents of the two munchkins, walk upstairs I see from the corner of my eye, a flash of nakedness. Yup. The two had stripped down and were playing in the toy room, NEXT to the TV room. When asked why they took their clothes off, they said, “We went potty together.” I’m laughing so hard I can’t breath. Their parents were mortified. Now fast forward to Gramma sleepover. I had all munchkins safely nestled in their cushion beds in the living room. All seemed to be asleep. Papa was nodding off in the back room. I had to go leave at 10:15 p.m. to get Miss German, who is 17, and has no driver’s license, from a party in Layton. As we approached the house 45 minutes later, I notice EVERY light is on in the house! I thought a crisis had occurred. As I ran into the house, I found Miss 2 and Mr. 3 sitting on the couch reading books to each other. Miss 2 apparently was faking to be asleep when I left, and she woke up Mr. 3 so they could read together. They did not wake anyone else up. Oh, my heart.
Oh my! Those grandkids sound wonderful!
