Happy Spring!

I love spring.  I love the rain and the way it smells.  I love that flowers are blooming and trees are budding.  I love smelling lilacs when I go out my front door.  I love seeing daffodils and tulips as I drive to school. 

I love the grass turning green and the days getting warmer.  I love that the farm store by us has baby chicks, ducks and even turkeys.  I love this season of renewal and rebirth.  I think it is my favorite season.  I love that I can start wearing shorts and flip flops again.  I love that sunscreen isn’t a necessity just yet.  I love that it isn’t too hot or too cold.  I love that the kids have more field trips and way less homework.  I love that the kids can play outside without having to bundle up.  I love that they can walk home from school.  I love the feelings, sights, and smells of spring.  I don’t even mind starting to see bees again.  I love watching the birds build their nests.  I love seeing robins, grackles, and sparrows in my front yard.  I love seeing baby bunnies in my back yard (although they do eat the grass).

To me spring is like Goldilocks and baby bears bed “It is just right!”  Happy spring everyone!
