It’s Friday! Hooray! I love Fridays–though I’m not sure why. It’s not like the weekends around here are full of sleeping in and relaxing. A typical weekend around here is busy and chaotic! But it is the weekend and that means no school for a couple of days.
You know how I love no school!
One of the reasons I’m so happy for this particular Friday is because this Friday marks only 2 Fridays left until the end of the school year!
Wow! Summer is almost here! HOORAY!
The end of school rituals have begun, ones I am familiar with from my elementary age kids– lots of field trips, and picnics. Not to mention the dreaded field day! I also have to stay on top of the middle school rituals, end of year band and choir concerts, and the last minute fundraisers.
With 2 highschoolers it gets even more fun– AP tests, ACT tests, end of year projects, finals and PROM!
The end of the school year is a crazy busy time.
Bring on summer….I am sure it won’t be soo busy. We only have vacation, choral camp, football camp, two different boy scout camps, cub scout day camp, and a family reunion…by the time we get through all of that, it will probably be time for back to school shopping!
Holy Cow! I think I just went full circle right there. This is not good, I’m making myself tired just writing this, and as you can see, I will be needing a lot of energy!
