Happy Independence Day!
(It was yesterday, but we’re still in the same week, so I can say that, right?)
We had a great day over here. My mom and dad are in town, so we got to barbecue with my parents and My Dear Husband’s parents.
You may be thinking that having both sets of parents/in-law/grandparents could be a recipe for disaster, but have no fear! We all enjoyed watching kids play, playing a little ourselves, and of course lighting fireworks. (I’m so glad they weren’t banned in our area!)
Hope all of you took the time to think about our country and our freedoms. I hope you had time to listen to some stirring patriotic music. Also, I hope you took the time to eat watermelon and make some super yummy homemade ice cream. If you didn’t do it yesterday, don’t panic, there’s still time. Like I said, we’re still in the same week, so feel free to keep on celebrating.
