The kids are out of school today. I am trying to keep them busy and get things done, while simultaneously trying not to make anyone miserable. When one of my daughters was younger, like 8 or 9, she wrote me a note one time after I had been yelling at everyone. In the note, she proclaimed, “due to your yelling at us, I am in ‘absuloot miseralty’.
I’m hoping to avoid that today, but I do want their bathroom cleaned, rooms straightened, and laundry done. I was also hoping to make some headway on the bathroom today. I have stripped all of the paint off of the cabinets and am now sanding in preparation for staining. I bought paint, and could conceivably start today, if all goes well.
So far, not so much. The babies found a stash of M&M’s and gobbled them up, leaving a colorful trail on their little faces and walls they were near. Tim had a seizure and had to be dealt with, and the only time I have been in my bathroom today was at 7 when I showered.
And now, here I am chatting with you instead of working. Um, I also worked on taxes, paid a bill, checked email, and updated another website.
Ok, ok, I’ve got to get started. You too! Go! Do! Be!:)
